Dorothy Tangredi, a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania woman, is suing pet store chain, Petco, for serious injuries she sustained to her hip, back, and head after slipping on an accumulation of liquid in one of its stores.

Tangredi filed her lawsuit against Petco Animal Supplies Inc. on February 11, 2014, naming the pet store chain as the sole defendant and seeking an undisclosed amount in damages. According to Tangredi, she was she was shopping at one of Petco’s stores on July 5, 2012, when she stepped on an accumulation of liquid that caused her to slip and fall, resulting in serious personal injuries to her hip, back, and head that caused her physical pain and monetary loss. She is suing the pet store chain for negligence, claiming that the store allowed a dangerous condition to exist on its premises, which resulted in her injuries.
