Carolyn Bynum, a waitress at the Floyd’s Cajun Seafood restaurant in Texas, filed a lawsuit in court for personal injuries that she sustained in a 2010 slip and fall accident that took place while she was working. Bynum was reportedly holding a plate when the slip and fall accident occurred, and she sustained significant slip and fall injuries to her palm and shoulder. Bynum alleges that the floor was wet and in an “unsafe work condition,” resulting in her slip and fall and subsequent injuries. Bynum filed suit against her employer for past and future mental anguish, medical expense reimbursement and lost earning capacity damages. She alleges that she is unable to return to work because of her slip and fall injuries. Bynum’s case is still pending.
