Woman Suing Philadelphia After Slipping And Falling At Playground.

Crystal Jones filed a lawsuit against the Philadelphia Housing Authority and the City of Philadelphia for negligence after she slipped and fell on a walkway on a Philadelphia playground on August 22, 2012, resulting in serious personal injuries.

)

Jones claims that she fell due to a dangerous condition on the playground walkway, which was caused by the city’s failure to inspect the walkway and failure to keep the property safe.  A poorly maintained drain is the specific cause of her fall, according to Jones.  As a result of her fall, Jones suffered “severe injuries to her leg, ankle and back, including a herniated disk.”  She is seeking medical expenses totaling over $1,500.00, interest, court costs, and attorney’s fees.

Public city streets and walkways should be reasonably safe. When cities and towns fail to properly maintain the sidewalks, it can result in severe personal injuries.
