Anastassia Zisis and her husband, Angelo, have filed suit against McDonald’s Australia after Anastassia was injured in a slip and fall accident.
Anastassia sustained her slip and fall injuries after slipping on a liquid substance on the floor of an access corridor in the rear of a McDonald’s restaurant.
Anastassia and her husband allege that the liquid was left on the floor of the establishment due to the neglect of the McDonald’s staff. Anastassia suffered personal injuries to her neck and lower back. She claims that these injuries have reduced her capacity to work.
McDonald’s representatives are denying Anastassia’s allegations. The corporate representatives are also arguing that Anastassia is not entitled to recover personal injury damages, because it was her job, as an area cleaner, to clean the liquid off the floor.
