Man’s Deadly Fall at Atlanta Braves Game Ruled a Suicide.

Atlanta, Georgia officials have ruled that the August 12, 2013 alleged slip and fall death at an Atlanta Braves game of Ronald Lee Homer, Jr., 30, of Conyers, Georgia, was a suicide.

Homer fell over a railing on the walkway of the fourth level at Atlanta’s Turner Field stadium while walking on the outside portion of the stadium, as the Braves played against the Philadelphia Phillies.  Homer fell 85 feet and landed in the players’ parking lot.  Emergency responders worked for several minutes in a an attempt to resuscitate Homer, but were unable to save his life.

Investigators with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office stated on Thursday, September 19, that they have concluded their investigation and determined that Homer’s slip and fall death was actually the result of a suicide.  They stated that no surveillance footage of Homer’s death was available, and declined to disclose any additional details.

It appears that the investigators based their conclusions on discussions held with Homer’s family members and based on Homer’s medical and psychiatric history.
