Paula Johnson filed a lawsuit against Walmart on March 13, 2014, in the District Court of Galveston County claiming the store’s negligence caused her to suffer injuries from a slip and fall. According to Johnson, she was shopping at the Walmart when she approached the cash register to pay for her purchases. She slipped and fell on a puddle of water that had accumulated near the register. She claims she was seriously injured in the fall.
Johnson has filed a suit claiming the store failed to maintain the floors in safe condition. She is seeking somewhere between $200,000 and $1 million in damages.
