An Oakwood, New York man, whose ankle was badly broken when he slipped and fell on a puddle while playing indoor soccer at the Jewish Community Center, has settled his lawsuit for $450,000. Kudrat Rakhimoff, then 38 years-old, was playing on a rubber soccer court on the second floor of the Sea View facility on December 8, 2013, at about 8:45 p.m., when he was hurt. Mr. Rakhimoff slipped on a puddle caused by a ceiling leak. He was taken by ambulance to the Staten Island University Hospital and diagnosed with a comminuted fracture of the left distal fibula. A comminuted fracture is one in which the bone is broken in several places, which forced Mr. Rakhimoff to undergo three surgeries.
